Teams 2024
Thank you to everyone for attending Attadale Netball Club’s 2024 trials & a huge thank you must be made to our 45+ volunteer selectors, umpires and all our behind-the-scenes volunteers. These amazing people who are willing to selflessly step-up, time & time again & devote an enormous amount of their own personal time, are the backbone of our club & without them this process would not be possible.
Trials are a culmination not only of these physical trials held over the last month, but also player viewing across the 2023 season. This has helped us to ensure that the Selectors were able to make the best possible informed decision after viewing the girls at trials in 2024.
We are a graded club & every decision is carefully considered & reviewed by multiple people involved in the selection process, before teams are finalised & announced to you, our valuable members. Every girl has been carefully selected in each team based on the depth they offer the actual position they trialed for (especially 11U & older). This depth is based on their current skill & development level in comparison to their peers, who are trialing for that same position.
This year, like every year, our graded sides tend to be extremely ‘center court’ heavy & this has resulted in a lot of movement across all grades.
Any correspondence relating to the grading of any player will NOT be accepted by the Club within the first two weeks of team announcements. Please do not contact selectors, committee members or previous coaches directly, as you will not receive a response. Movement of players has not been made lightly or without every possible consideration & scenario being factored into the process. At times, some very difficult decisions had to be made & we are under no illusion this can cause disappointment. So, please BE KIND……..
If you believe you can add value to our selections process & learn the intricate role of a selector, please do not hesitate to reach out & join our volunteer committee.
We also welcome you to volunteer to coach one of our 50 sides or to volunteer for any of our behind-the-scenes roles that involve giving up countless hours of valuable, personal family time to help run Attadale Netball Club. We promise to welcome you with open arms.
We understand it may feel disappointing to be graded in a team that wasn’t the one you were hoping for, but we ask that you please give your new team a chance and get to know your coach.
Parents - you play a vital role in promoting this positive sportsmanship! We are sure that you’ll find your new team is full of great people who are excited for the upcoming netball season, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn the important skill of adapting to new players, welcoming new players into our club and playing under new coaches.
COACHING
Coaches will be appointed over the next 2 weeks. If you haven’t put your expression of interest in, please do so NOW by emailing our Coaching Co-Ordinator
All expressions of interest will be given consideration in the process of appointing suitable coaches. See our Coaching page for more details.
TRAINING
Training will begin for all teams in the week starting Tuesday 19th March, 2024 at Troy Park Attadale
Training runs across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and your day and time will depend on which graded team number you have been selected in. Please refer to our Training and Games page for more information (this is also dependent on volunteer coaching availability).
NOTE: 2024 training times are still subject to change at present to accommodate for all 50 teams and coaches’ availability. These changes are up to the discretion of the ANC Executive Committee. Training times will be confirmed and updated on the Training and Games page by March 11th
MANAGING
If you’re interested in managing your child’s team, please contact your age group coordinators: Juniors (8U, 9U & 10U), Intermediates (11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U & 18U), or Seniors with your expression of interest.
